Lavender Lime Iced Green Tea

This iced green tea is perfect for sitting on the porch and taking in the slower days of summer! With just a hint of sweetness from honey but lots of flavor, it's a great substitute for soda.

Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoons loose green tea
  • 1 Tablespoon dried lavender buds
  • zest from 2 medium limes grated fine
  • 2 Tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 Cup fresh lime juice

Instructions

  • Bring 6 Cups water to boil. Turn off heat, remove from heat & let cool 2 min then place loose leaf tea, lavender, and zest in large infuser (or wrapped in cheese cloth and then tied with kitchen twine), place in hot water and steep 5 min. Remove tea leaf mix. Let cool 10 min.
  • Add honey and lime juice. Stir; then add 2 Cups ice water and stir until melted. Place in refrigerator to chill. Serve over ice. Refrigerate remaining tea.
